The symphony of light of various elegant water creatures makes this exhibit a must-visit. The exhibit is around 500m² containing 65,000 liters of seawater. It houses jellyfish, blacktip reef sharks, oceanic whitetip sharks, and hundreds of colorful tropical fish.
The Katandra Treetops is a unique exhibit that brings visitors a glimpse of Australia. You can expect to see massive treetops filled with beautiful birds from Australia and Asia. Most importantly, you can hear their amazing songs.
This museum of porcelain parrots houses a massive collection of artistic works that were created across three centuries. Most importantly, all of the porcelain works were created by great masters of porcelainware.
The Aquarium not only contains a total of 1,200,000 liters of water but is also split into 12 different thematic exhibitions. All the water used in the aquarium is obtained directly from the Atlantic Ocean.
Loro Parque has financed a project to ensure the survival of the slowly dwindling lions. Loro Park has recreated the king of the jungle’s habitat with the Lion’s Kingdom. This large enclosure contains a small river and lake where the lions can cool off and an arid scrubland to live on. There are three majestic lions in the habitat.
Loro Parque houses the world’s largest penguinarium. This exhibit is re-created to simulate the polar climate. So, you can see real snow and even a massive iceberg. Most importantly, you can see close to 100 penguins as you walk through the world of ice.
This is the largest Thai village outside of Thailand. As soon as you enter the park you’ll see the amazing Thai structures and architecture. What’s truly brilliant is that these structures are authentic down to the last detail. H.R.H. Prince Mahidol of Siam, the father of H.M. King Bhumibol of Thailand, visited Tenerife in 1913 and was smitten by the beautiful scenery of the island. So, as a homage, there is a bust of the Prince located at the entrance of the park
The Zen Garden is a new exhibition and is the world’s first underwater Japanese Garden. This serene exhibition takes visitors through the miniaturized mountain ranges of Asia. Of course, it will also be filled with fishes that add life to the brilliant exhibit. This underwater mix of flora and fauna was created with an innovative "aquascaping" technique.
The Jungle Ara region as you can imagine is filled with lush vegetation. It is also one of the oldest parts of the Loro Parque and extremely close to the Katandra Treetops. The Loro Parque Tickets will give you access to ivy, palm, and ficus species, in addition to various plant species. As you walk through the jungle you can hear the screeching of macaws and the sound of waterfalls.
Naturavision is a unique cinema that is dedicated to raising environmental awareness through high-definition documentary-style films. It showcases the effect of humans on the environment and various species. However, it is temporarily unavailable.
This garden of Orchids is definitely a must-visit. Not only do you get to see different types of Orchid species but you also get to inhale the sweet fragrance of these beautiful plants. As you walk through the garden you can appreciate their different sizes and colors.
The Baby Station has nothing to do with your baby. This zone in the animal embassy region of the park is where vets and scientists tend to baby parrots and other chicks. You can, of course, walk through this clinical area and watch the vets do their job.
Kinderlandia is the part of the park that’s meant for the kids. Your kids can play amongst bridges, trees, and tunnel slides. Additionally, there are various games, music, and activities like face painting. Parents can relax at the nearby Bambu bar while the kids ride the only rollercoaster on the island, the Orca Tren.

The best time to Visit Loro Parque would be the weekdays, specifically Tuesday and Friday. There won’t be a crowd as there are very few flights to Tenerife during these days. And you can enjoy the serene park without feeling claustrophobic. Try to avoid the weekends as the locals visit the Zoological institutions. It is also best to explore the park during the summer months as you can enjoy the weather while walking around.

By Train: Take the Loro Parque Express Puerto de la Cruz to Loro Parque. Not only is it a direct train but it is also a free service that takes visitors from Plaza de Los Reyes Católicos to Loro Parque and back.
By Bus: The Loro Parque Offers a bus Service for visitors to get to the park. Visitors will have to buy the ticket on the park’s webpage and book the seat 24 hours in advance. You can check out the pickup points here.
By Car: Travel on the TF 1,2 and 5 around the east/northeast of the Island to Loro Parque. Loro Parque has a 3-floor car parking facility. They charge €5 for a day.
