No. Scientists use the observatory for research after dark, so visitors go in the afternoon. The Observatory tour pairs that daytime visit with a Teide star gazing session at the cable car base once the sun sets.

Only Sunset & Stars. It takes you to 3,555 m for sunset from the Pico Viejo viewpoint trail, then back down for dinner and telescopes. Neither of the other two versions includes a cable car ride.
